SINGIN' IN THE RAIN
ERIN BURTCHAELL
As a Musical Theatre major, part of the senior capstone course is putting on a senior recital that includes both classical and musical theatre repertoire. This year, due to the pandemic, the senior recitals were moved into a virtual format, allowing for the seniors to create, direct, and edit videos. This video, for Singin’ in the Rain , was the finale of Erin’s recital. She incorporated original choreography from the movie Singin’ in the Rain , and recreated similar visuals from the movie through her use of the campus.

Erin Burtchaell '21
Erin Burtchaell is a senior at Manhattanville College, graduating in May with her BFA in Musical Theatre. In her time at Manhattanville, she has appeared in The Drowsy Chaperone, Company, G&S Deconstructed, and See Rock City, while also acting as dance captain for Company. She has also been a part of Dance and Theatre productions, such as Malefactions, Eurydice, On the Head of a Pin, and two fall dance concerts. When not in classes or rehearsals, Erin is also one of the presidents of Manhattanville Dance Ensemble, and a member of Minds in Motion and Broadway at Manhattanville. She created this video as a part of her virtual senior recital, the capstone for the BFA program.
