I LOVE A FILM CLICHE

Owen Mannion is a senior Musical Theatre major here at Manhattanville College. This work entitled: I Love a Film Cliche is from the musical A Day in Hollywood, A Night in The Ukraine was used in his senior recital capstone. The song was filmed at The Media Theatre in Media, PA. The now performing arts venue was once an old movie house and was the perfect fit for this piece. Owen incorporated many “cliches” seen throughout films from the 30's-50's. While none of the dialogue is directly from any film it recalls many cinema classics such as Lassie, Mildred Pierce, and A Star is Born among others.
