"She's Always a Woman" by Billy Joel - Cover for International Women's Day

These past months have enabled me to dive into my creative side in a way I hadn’t before the pandemic started. I began to brainstorm ways of expressing my love for the arts and how one can still create in these times, and International Women’s Day caught my attention. I decided to film a cover video with the song “She’s Always a Woman” by Billy Joel and take a wonderful group of women to appear in the video. My intention was to show a diverse group of women to emphasize their singular beauty and strength. After a month of planning and filming, the final result was even better than what I imagined.

Paula is from San Juan, Puerto Rico, and a freshman Musical Theatre major. She have been studying music for the past eight years, and recently has been exploring ways of creating art. Because of this, she uses her social media platforms to share her music and different artistic projects like the video for International Women's Day. She looks to create projects that impact people in a positive way.
